ABOUT ME
Sara Laursen is a director, producer, casting director and performer. As executive director of The Drama Company NYC, she co-produces all productions, directs and oversees casting. She most recently directed the company's latest hit, Almost, Maine.

Pre-pandemic, Sara led a monologue contest for The Drama Company NYC to showcase new and upcoming talent with a panel of judges, comprised of casting directors, agents and managers.
Notable theater credits include This Ones For The Girls at Downstairs Cabaret Theatre, JD Lawrence presents: Your husband is cheating on us at BB Kings, Dancer in the Off-Broadway revival of The Eight: Reindeer Monologues and numerous regional productions. TV, film and commercial work: “A Crime to Remember,” “Non-Stop," “The Intern,” and Budweiser. Her self produced show My Winter Song To You at Don't Tell Mama (NYC) earned her a BroadwayWorld Cabaret nomination. She was ultimately beat out by Glenn Close (who is now her archenemy...unbeknownst to Glenn).

Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and musical theater from SUNY Cortland.
